Tanishq Abraham is just 15 years old. However, he has already accomplished what most kids his age would be planning for in the next stage of their lives.

The child prodigy, whose parents Dr Taji and Bijou Abraham are from Kerala, recently made headlines in India and abroad for already completing his degree in biomedical engineering from the University of California, Davis, and what’s more, he’s already been accepted for his PhD programme too.

Tanishq, who had his graduation ceremony recently, recalls the “special day”. “I had my parents, sister, maternal grandparents, aunt and very close family friends present there at the three-hour ceremony. The real degree comes in the mail, but I was of course happy to go up there and get my ceremonial degree,” says the elated youngster, who collected it with around 700 students who majored in various engineering fields such as aerospace and mechanical.
